Greetings:
I just received the approval notice from the INS at the Missouri Service Center on my
wife's I129 form to get the K3 Visa. We also already have the I130 in the works. I
sent her the documents I received from the Missouri Service Center.I was also
informed that the information is being sent to the consulate. I cannot seem to get
any answers to the quesions that follow. If anyone could help, it would be most
appreciated. We were married January 26th in the Philippines and it sure has been a
long process getting all of this paperwork done so my wife can come to the U.S.
1. Does my wife now have to contact the consulate in Manila or will they contact her?
2. What documents does she now have to provide in order to get the K3?
3. Does she have to wait for the consulate or can she get any shots, medical exams or
anything else they require done?
4. How long does it take for that to happen in the Philippines?
Thank you for any insight you can provide.

You should be getting a letter from the State Department in a couple of weeks that
your petition has been sent to US Embassy in Manila. It will contain the contain
the case number. This number will important when contacting embassy if there are
any problems. They won't even talk to you unless you have the case number.

Each embassy has it own requirement. And the PHillipines even has it own set of
instructions. Check out their web site at:

You or your wife can try to contact the Embassy for that information.

Depends on how fast the State department sends the petition to the embassy, it can be
days or weeks. From there, depending on embassy, they will mail it to your wife.
Don't know how reliable the mail system in the PHillipines is.
