Default k3 visa different case # at NVC and different case# at mumbai consulate

HI k3 group,

My sister called mumbai consulate to find out about Packet #3 and she gave the case # which was on NVC letter ant they said that her husband's case # at mumbai consulate was different than what is on NVC letter . They told her to go with the case# which is at mumbai consulate and not on the NVC letter.

question is does anybody had any experience like this about different case # for k3 visa? please advice

regards

Not to worry. That is true. It does get two different case number for the same consulate in Mumbai. one is assigned by NVC and then the other by the Mumbai when they open the local file.

So, nothing to worry. Just wait and see.

Good luck.

Agree with Saha. Even I had the same experience. Therefore when inquiring with the consulate give last, first name and birthdate and once the case is registered they will give a new case no.
