Hi all,

I just received the #2 NOA approval notice for the I-129F K3 visa. Now I've heard
that MSC sends this to the NVC and then they in turn send it to the consulate.
However, on the notice it states that "the above petition has been approved and
forwarded to the listed consulate." I even called the INS info line and they said,
no, it goes directly to the consulate. That would shave a lot of time off if true.
Other things that make me believe this are timelines such as that of RICHARD SUN
which claims the consulate abroad received the approval notice the same day that he
did! Now that's fast!

Mine the said the same thing, but I got a letter from the NVC anyway. It takes about
two weeks. They sent my petiton to Bangladesh.

we were approved on the 18th, called the INS and they told me that they send the application to NVC which sends it to the consulate. It may take upto a month for them to notify NVC. Which then can take a month to send to consulate. also asked if there is any way of tracking to see if the app has been sent, he said we have to wait for NVC to notify us.

I think both are true. I do see the previous post that approved notice will be sent
to Visa center and then relay it to consulate. However, the consulate gets the notice
from the scan emails which means it will receive instantly. That is what I am
thinking. Jack
