Dear Sir/Madam,
My fiance and I have been in a long-distance relationship since the
beginning of 2001 (we first met online around November/December 2000).
He is a US citizen and I am an Australian citizen looking into
migrating to the US to be with him using the K1 fiance(e) visa. It
seems the information we've found with how much and what kind of
evidence that is submitted for proof of the relationship varies from
case to case.
What my fiance and I would like to know is what kind of evidence and
how much of it was submitted with the I-129F form and if any further
evidence was submitted at the interview? E.g submitting five emails
with the I-129F form or boarding passes kept from visits etc.
We do have quite a few emails, a big chat history from using Instant
Messaging software to chat online, we have a few letters (because we
keep in contact almost every day online and with email, we haven't
sent many). We also met in August of 2003 when I went to the US to
meet him so I have all my boarding passes from that and the photos we
took of us together. He's also thinking about coming to see me here in
Australia in mid-2004 but this hasn't been finalised as yet. But like
I said above, if anyone could share their experience with us and how
much evidence they submitted and what.
We know each case is different, we just want some idea of what people
have submitted and if anyone has had to submit anything further at the
interview.
Thanks in advanced, it's greatly appreicated.
Regards,
Amy

We recently submitted I-129F. We sent copies of boarding passes and copies of airline tickets to show we'd met within the required time. We also sent in one photo of us together. The rest I'll be taking the the consulate which is when the evidence is required.

Is this a letter you wrote to the US Consulate or is this a question you are asking of the newsgroup.
If to the newsgroup, you don't have to prove a relationship and you aren't petitioning for a K-1 to be with your fiancee. You have to prove that you have met in person during the last two years and you have to marry your fiancee within 90 days of entry into the US on an approved K-1.
If you have to prove the relationship (which many have found out that in countries such as Canada, the UK and Australia) you don't have to submit much.
But you are overlooking something much much better than the K-1 fiancee visa. You are from Australia and your fiancee is going to be visiting. You can marry in Australia and your USC then husband can apply directly at the US Consulate for your entry into the US as a Conditional Permanent Resident (this process in layman's terms is called Direct Consular Filing). It is a really super fast and easy way to get residency in the US almost immediately and without all the fuss and long waiting times of a standard adjustment of status.
Do a search on google for DCF, Australia or OZ, etc.
