Default K1 Visa??? Should both parties be in Warsaw???

Hello All,

I'm a first time poster here in need of some assistance.

I have an American friend who has a fiancée from Ukraine who is soon to be
interviewed by the embassy in Warsaw.

He has concerns about her receiving an approval if he does not attend the interview.

Is it necessary that an American man be in Warsaw for the interview? What percentage
of people have successfully gone through the process without having traveled to
Warsaw to be with there fiancée?

I should add that he has utilized an attorney for all of his paperwork and to his
knowledge all of her paperwork is in good order.

Thanks for your assistance in advance!

If she has everything in order and is reasonably intelligient, she does not need the
fiance with her, however it always makes a good impression and good moral support.
Warsaw is not one of the dreaded "hard" consulates. I presume you have been perusing
the warsaw visaguide also: http://warsaw-visaguide.hypermart.net/ If not, suggest you
do so, there are some really good tips there.
