hi guys,

I have received my working authorization and was wondering how long it takes until i get my interview and perminant residence card.

Also i have received my I-512L authorization for parole. I am going to england for xmas. All i have to do on my return is show this document along with my visa and passport for re-entry?

You don't have a visa. It is now void since the time limit has expired and you have filed for adjustment of status. You need only your advance parole document and your passport.

The first time you use the AP you will be directed to secondary for processing. One sheet of the AP will be taken and the other stamped and returned to you. The returned sheet you receive will be used on subsequent trips during the duration of the validity of the AP and you will not have to go to secondary again.

It could be a month from now... or a year or more. There is absolutely no way to know.


Your visa is expired and no longer valid. You will need only the Advance Parole paperwork and your valid passport.

The advance parole will allow DHS to parole you into the US. You will NOT be admitted or allowed to otherwise enter the US.
