I had written a prior question but want to be more specific. My fiance lives
in Brazil. She is VERY educated and teaches English, and wants to come to
marry me and work here. I am disabled and not able to go back to work yet.
Our K1 Petition was approved very recently and now we await the correspondance
to her and hopefully soon get an interview date. I am worried about the
Affidavit of support requirements. Can they deny us if my income is minimal?
Would that be discrimination? I have a family member who owns a company and
will hire her to work when she arrives. Also I have a relative who makes a lot
of money- can this person sponsor here if it comes to that? Thank you
everyone- michael

Well, the disappearing post certainly leans toward a certain poster's MO. He's been spouting this since his experience with the Phils. It may or may not be true there, but I've not read any experiences from other Consulates that it is the case elsewhere in the world. Don't you think we would've seen someone else post about it if it were true?
