I kinda posted this message a couple days ago but didnt get ANY response..so just
incase it was overlooked, I am posting it again:
My petition for a K1 Visa was approved way back in January by the CSC. My concern is
that the Buenos Aires consulate has yet to receive the petition. I called the CSC
this past friday (March 29th) and they let me know that the petition was sent by
independent cable on March 5th 2002. I then emailed the consulate to see if they had
received the petition and they informed me that they have yet to receive it. Now, my
questions are:
What happens if the consulate does not receive the petition before it expires?? What,
if anything, can I do to make sure the petition gets there before May?
ANY advice or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm only speaking from personal experience and I still don't know what the final
outcome will be but I was in the same situation.
My petition got lost between CSC and the London consulate. I eventually managed to
talk to a very helpful lady in the consulate and she said they could only act on the
petition or the ORIGINAL Notice Of Approval (not a copy or a fax) As it was getting
close to the expiration of the petition she suggested that Cathy send the original
NOA by FedEx to London.
Once they got the original NOA I had my interview and got the Visa no problem. I did
ask at the Embassy and was told that the petition had still not arrived. I also asked
for the original NOA back but was refused. I asked again at the POE for the original
back but was refused again.
Apparently I need that original for the AOS interview but, as that is likely to be at
least 3 years away here in Arizona I'll worry about it later!!
Check whether the Buenos Aires consulate will accept the NOA like London
did.

Thanks for responding.
I will go ahead and get in contact with my local rep ASAP and also contact the Bs.
As. consulate and ask if they will accept the original notice of approval. We were
just getting tired of not being able to do nothing. CSC and the consulate were not
very helpful in answering my question, but its good to know that u all here are kinda
enough to respond..thanks again and will let u all know what happens next...
