My fiance... Abigail Collins from Scotland... and I... Joel Isenberg from the US....
were going to get married next august in scotland. Here was the whole plan. I was
going to go over in Dec to get a civil marriage and then do the petition and ll that
good stuff. Now we have decided these long distances and loneliness are way to hard
on us. So we came up with a new plan. We are just going to do the fiance visa. We
plan on getting the stuff sent in as soon as we can. Then hopefully if everything
goes well she will be here by febuary somtime. Then we would have the wedding in
april. Thats our new plan anyway. But i have some questions. I am a college student
and definatly don't make enough to support her. But my parents will gladly sponser us
or whatever. Now my first question. If anyone knows. Do i have to fill out an
affidavit and same with my parents or do they just fill one out? And another
question. On Doc Stevens web page or whatever it is they say a bunch of these
documents should be included with the affidavit. Like bank statements, letter from
employee, ect ect. Now if this is true... since i dont make enough anyway would i
have to include my papers as well with my parents or just mine? Anyway thats all for
now. i will probably have more questions later. But any help at all will be much
appreciated. Joel(US) Abby(UK)

You can have a co-sponsor and can use your parents, but the US citizen fiance is
ALWAYS the primary sponsor and always provides an affidavit, even if a co-sponsor is
required. EACH of your will complete an affidavit of support and EACH of you will
supply the supporting documents (as many as you have, anyway). So there will be TWO
affidavits at the interview for the visa, instead of one.

Bank records are fine but you can also get a letter from employer stateing
your position, salary, when employed, and a pay stub or two even if you just
started there.
