I just found this on www.murthy.com, dated Feb. 7th 2004. Can someone tell me
if this is what possibly caused our screw up? (I'm not sure what an L-2 EAD
is, but maybe it explains this screw up)
Error at NSC Reroutes L-2 EADs
The mailroom personnel at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) have been rerouting
Applications for Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) filed by L-2s to the
Missouri Service Center (MSC). This mistake is attributed to a misunderstanding
of the category by the mailroom staff. The appropriate staff members will
receive proper instruction.
In the interim, the MSC is issuing receipt notices for these cases and then
transferring them to the NSC for processing. For reasons of internal processing
procedure, the cases cannot be properly redirected before the receipts are
issued. The MSC receipt notices contain extraneous information about
fingerprinting and photographing. This should be ignored for L-2 cases, as it
does not apply to this type of case.
The MSC will issue a transfer notice. The NSC will not issue a new receipt
notice, but all follow-up must be with NSC after the case transfer. The
back-and-forth transfer will cause delays in the processing of the EADs. At
this point, there is no information available as to the number of cases
affected by these errors.

1) Are you on a L-2 (seems not)
2) If so- have you filed for AOS at MSC
If not, it has nothing to do with your case- but as you give no details.....
