You file with the service center that services the area where you live.
This is documented at
http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/fo...orms/i-129.htm
That page also contains a link to the service centers.

http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/howdoi/fianceapp.htm gives information
on the forms needed.

I filed from New York too. Our service center is Vermont. Do some reading on this website http://www.txdirect.net/users/mike38/k1faq.htm
I found tons of info there......do searches here too, you will find answers too mostly all of your questions.

If you are filing the I-129F for the K-1 fiancee visa, then YOU FILE AT THE VERMONT SERVICE CENTER.

Please, please, please DO NOT FILE IN NYC for Fiancee Visa. If you are living in the NYC INS Jurisdiction, you will have plenty of time in the future to acquaint yourself with this hit or miss office when you marry and have to file for adjustment of status.

Uh-oh . . . is the NYC office THAT bad?

(I live in Brooklyn, NY. By the end of 2003 I guess I'll know for myself
how wonderful it really is. )

If the petitioner lives in New York, you send I-129 petition to Vermont
Service Center. It's form I-485 package that you file at 26 Federal Plaza,
New York.
The instructions themselves have the address. Make sure you print out the
Forms Entry Pages as well to catch all the updates.

No it isn't that bad Nicole. Actually some very nice people there. Of course, there are always a few a-h people but what else is new. The wait time is slow and there are no numbers to call for status updates but then that is the same for so many INS offices.
