Default K1 and EAD

Do you need to apply for EAD when entering on a K1 visa?
From reading this page it seems as if you don't need to?

Maybe it's just wishful thinking...

If you wish to be able to work after your I-94 has expired and before your AOS is approved then yes, you will need to apply for the EAD.

No, you don't need to apply for an EAD - it's only required if you want to legally work in the US. Personally, I was hoping that Sheila had enough money so that I could be a kept man, but it wasn't to be!

Hi:

A K-1 CAN work without an EAD "incident to status."

An employer will NOT be penalized for employing an "unauthorized alien."

An employer CAN be penalized for paperwork violations since the EAD is the only acceptable evidence fo authorization to work.

Technically, no you do not.

However, once you marry, you need an EAD to (continue) work(ing) legally.

Weird, huh?

That link did not work for me.
