You will receive packet #3. Read up about what's in it and get those things
ready.
The packets vary by what country you are from, but Australia is one of the
"standard requests, nothing special."
The fiancé will receive written notice, the case goes to NVC (national visa
center - for 2 to 4 weeks) for background checks. The case then goes to the
embassy in your country, and the embassy generates packet #3 for you.
You get #3, gather up the materials, and send them back to the embassy.
What should you do? search the newsgroup for packet #3 information, and
round up the stuff.
The new picture requirements changed a few months ago, and that was posted
by Matt Udahl.

Add on: after sending #3 back to the embassy (or consulate)
you will receive an invitation for an interview and a
Medical. If nothing is wrong with you (legally and
medically) that will go smooth. After a few days you can
expect to get your K-1 in your passport which you need to
use within 6 months to come to the USA. Within three months
after arrival you need to get married. After that the
Greencard process starts, that is the AOS. As soon as you
arrive apply for an EAD (Work Permit) and a Social Security Number.
