K1 approval from Nebraska!
Oh, finally, we've been waiting for this!!!
July 19, 2002: 1st NOA; petition received at NSC.
September 18, 2002: Andrew arrives for a much-needed 2 week visit
Stateside. We're very nervous about the risk, as our K1 is pending,
but decide to go for it as we haven't seen each other since May, and
certainly have no deceptive intent. Andrew has no trouble whatsoever
at Chicago O'Hare, where he informs the immigration officer that the
purpose of his entry is to visit his girlfriend for 2 weeks. Doesn't
even have to pull out the letter he brought along from his employer in
Scotland.
November 5, 2002: Reach human being by phone at NSC, who confirms that
our petition has yet to be reviewed by an officer, and states that
their current processing timeline is more like 120-140 days instead of
the officially reported 70-100 days.
November 20, 2002: Approval notice on INS case status website! Now
awaiting 2nd NOA to come through the mail.
Hope this information is useful or encouraging to our fellow Nebraska
petitioners...

Excellent Kristin, that's the latest 1st NOA date I have seen approved by Nebraska. At the risk of trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs......have you opened a provisional file at the Embassy?
(Grandmother??? At my age, who am I kidding?)

Shepslady,
The reference to provisional file........the London Embassy allows you to complete the forms in Pxt 3 BEFORE the approval is given by the SC. They open a "provisional" file and assign a provisional case number. Obviously, this speeds up the process. I dont knoiw about NZ though........sorry
