Default K1 AOS vaccine supplement

Hello there,
I went to the INS approved physician for myself and my daughters vaccine
supplement forms for filing AOS. I did have a list of the local Physicians from
the INS helplin and went to the first one I called, as the cost was very
reasonable.

The Doctor there was very helpful. We took our lists of Vacc records, typed and
signed by my UK Doctor but my younger daughter had not had second mandatory MMR
apparently or Tetanus booster. The Dr advised that she could have it there, $20
for the Tetanus and $70 for the MMR, or alternatively, take her to the Health
centre where they would do this for free. So we did this a couple of days later
.The centre was very quick and also advised us to complete the Hepatitis course
by March. Then took the vacc card back to the physician so she could complete
the last form.
The cost for seeing the INS approved Doctor, the sealed envelope and a copy of
the form inside, was $15 per person . So we were really pleased as we had
expected to be paying a great deal more.
With regard to the Chicken pox issue, if your children have had it make sure
you get a letter from your Doctor confirming this, prior to coming to the USA.
I have read alot of posts were people are having to go thruogh whole medicals
again and so forth. This worried me a great deal because of the amount of extra
cost it entailed. I must have been lucky , there was a list of about four
approved Dr's here in Charlotte NC. I decided to call them all, though that
turned out to be unneccessary as the first one , whilst confused at first ( the
secretary thought we had to have the whole examination but then let me speak to
somebody who realised that was already complete) , was just right.
So pardone this lengthy waffling, but please check through the list you get if
you have more then one appr Doc in your area, as they seem to differ in many
ways.
Bye all and take good care,
regards and best wishes, jacqueline
