Hi just another question I have ![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Would it be quicker to get married first then apply for a visa or to
go through the K1 Visa, which we have been informed will take around
12 months![Sad](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif)
Any advice would be helpful ...

It really depends on where the US citizen lives. If you file for the visa at the Vermont Service Center then you are better off applying for the K1 fiance visa which means you have to marry here in the States. If say you are in California then you are better off applying for the K3 Spousal visa.
Where do you live?

You don't provide enough info for an intelligent reply.

Another way to look at it:
Both a K1 and a K3 Visa require several steps. Each step or process requires waiting periods for forms to be processed, interview schedules, etc. They various times depend on several factors including which state the US petitioner lives as relevent to which service center supports the state, which country the petitioners fiancee lives in, etc.
Chances are there are many people in this forum that are dealing with the same state, country and visa issues that you are. You will learn a lot from talking to people with first hand experiences. Start by letting us know your State of residence, Country of your fiancee and any other things that you can think of that might cause a delay such as divorces, children, criminal records, unausual tattoo's, strange religious practices or any juicy gossip that this forum may entertain itself with

Hi everyone, sorry for being so vague! I didnt realise what I had
wrote!
I live in London and my fiancee lives in the US (Ohio) which would be
the Nebraska processing center. If I came to the US to marry and then
apply for the K3 how long could I stay there before coming home to
wait out the process?
Many thanks again.
