Ok, once again, thanks Rete for the advice, and everyone else that helped as
well![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I finished nearly everything, and the I-134 along with all required docs,
etc is on it's way from Ohio, Jenn mailed it express this morning.
Question is: The ONLY place in Pembroke here that does COLOR passport photos
is the Wal-mart portrait studio. However, they didn't take Amex, and
currently, I didn't have the cash to pay for the photos. So, I went to
another studio. They took Amex, and I had my photos taken. Question is,
however, are they/would they be ok?
No place on my checklist, under the "photographs" section, does it mention
that the photos specifically HAD to be color. They just mentioned the
dimensions, background type, and position of face.
My photos are black and white, and uncut. The studio didn't want to take
responsibility for cutting them, in case they mess up. I hope they do that
at the Consulate in Montreal, or I may have to break out a straight edge and
an exacto knife.
Also, the dimensions of the entire photo, with my head clearly visible in
full frontal view, down a little past my neck, with the "Hard Rock Cafe,
Toronto" label showing on my shirt. The total size of the photo is 3" wide,
4" tall. The specs ask for just the face, from the base of the chin, to be 1
1/2"x 1 1/2" in total, a nice little square. When I measured (yes, I
measured them, lol) my head, to the base of the neck, does fit into this 1
2/2 x 1 1/2 measurement, all that would need to be done is to cut them.
So, with that in mind: Will the consulate cut them to the appropriate size?
Is black and white ok? The measurements and position ok as well?
They never specified about the color, pre-cutting them, etc. I mean, it's
not that big of a deal, but to spend 33 bucks on 3 sets (checklist wanted 5
single photos, they come in sets of 2 though) of small tiny photos, then
have to do it again because they wanted different, well, that's 66 bucks in
total. That's still a good chunk, at least for me currently.
Thanks for the help,

I really hate to be the one to tell you this, but they have to be in color and no the US Consulate will not crop the photos to spec size.
Do you have a place near you that does passport photos and/or a little photo booth where you can do your own photos? This is what the people in the UK use to have their pix done.
