Default K-3 1st NoA

Sanity check - When I sent my I-130 to the NSC I received my 1st NoA
the same day I received my delivery receipt, in effect, instantly. I
mailed my I-129F petition on Jan 30, 2003 and I received my delivery
receipt on Jan 4, 2003 dated Jan 2, 2003. But as of today (Jan 11,
2003) I have not recieved my 1st NoA from Chicago. I am wondering how
long I should wait before thinking that my package may have fallen
behind the file cabinet? I wouldn't think as much about it but for
the stellar performance of the NSC on my I-130 receipt. Comments?

My husband and I went the 130 as well it was sent to Texas last
May.....it will take between 500-600 days......that will be a long time
so in July of 2002 we decided to do the k3 129 hoping he would be
here sooner......so on
July 15 we got it in the mail... we didnt send the form 325 with it so
there was another month delay.....in which it should have been approved
in November so on December the 13th it was approved.......he is still
in Canada and I am in Tennessee........we are now waiting for the packet
to come from Montreal.....who knows how long that will
take.............hope this helps
and I wish someone could help me about how long it takes for packet 3
to come from Montreal

Richard your dates are a little confusing to me & I suspect to many others as well. January 30 2003??? Please make this a little clearer for us

Glad to see you have your proofreader in check Richard but think maybe you were too hard on him. Give the guy a break with a warning rather than putting him on probation!!
Chicago is responding really quick so Im sure that you will get your NOA any day now. We mailed our application to them on Jan 1 2003 & got 1sy NOA back on Jan 9 2003 dated Jan6 2003. After the long wait we had for 1st NOA on our I-130 this quick response blew us away. Time frame listed on NOA is 60 - 90 days which is the same as online status so will be very interested to see what time frame they give you. Goodluck & please keep us posted.
