K-1 visa--Police verifications necessary??
My girlfriend (a foreign national) and I are filling out the paperwork
for the K-1 visa. The G325A form asks for a list of addresses of all
the places she has lived in the past 5 years. It says nothing about
getting verification of this list, but other group post-ers have
mentioned that the INS expects police documents that verify these
addresses are correct. What are other people's experiences with this?
Is police verification necessary?
Thanks! --Peter

The instructions don't say that at all. The only time you will need
anything related to police documents is the police report/certificate
for her interview at the embassy.

Thanks for the message about the police documents and the K-1 'finace'
visa. But this leads me to the next question--what will she need for
the embassy interview? Must she go armed with such police docuements,
even though there is no specific instructions to do so? I'm worried
that she'll be asked for things that we didn't know she had to
prepare. What do you all recommend she prepare for? Thanks!!
