Default k-1 visa need some realy good advice please?

hello..this is my first post here.*S*. i am engaged to a US citizen and have just returned to australia. I am wanting to return so that we can be married and start living our lives. Our problem is ..he is on disability welfare. he is trying to get a part time job to help boost his income above the 125 per cent sponsor requirement. What if he can't?. we have no one who can sponsor me. Is it possible to get around this some how.?..i can't believe we may be seperated forever and never marry .because he has a disability and unable to work. I am employed in australia and am *very* confident of my ability to gain work once i am in US. Any advice most welcome.thankyou

There are two ways around that. First, he can find a co-sponsor to boost
his income over the limit; parents often do that.

Second, if you manage to live together for six months, then your own
income can count. There are two ways you can achieve that:

- try to get another US visa, such as an H-1B sponsored by an employer. -
have him move to Australia first.
