My fiance got his visa today! Here is our timeline and info:
8/21/01 I-129F filed thru CSC
8/22/01 I-129F approved
8/23/01 Approval notice received at embassy in Casablanca **we never found out the
reason for the delay
8/24/01 Fiance received packet #3 **they did the pre-interview FBI clearances before
they sent him the packet
8/25/02 Interview & visa issuance
The embassy in Morocco used to do walk-in "interviews" but now they require you to
return the packet #3 forms and make an appointment. According to my fiance's info,
they only do interviews on Wednesdays. He walked the papers in and they asked him to
come the next week for the interview.
He did have to fill out an extra questionaire with "terrorism-related" questions. I
was very surprised that they did not ask him ANY questions at the interview. They
just took the papers and asked him to come back in the afternoon, at which time they
gave him his visa and the brown envelope.
If anyone has Morocco-specific questions, feel free to email. Thanks Sheila
