Hi,
I'm a Canadian engaged to an American. I have pretty much got everything on the
checklist sent by the US consulate but I have a couple of questions.
On the DS-2000, it states that applicant can use his/her own funds to demonstrate
that he/she will not be a public charge. I had thought that only my fiancée needed to
present the affidavit of support I-134. My question is this: Do I need to show my
financial records in addition to hers?
The other question is do I just return the signed checklist and nothing else and wait
for the consulate to contact me for an interview?
Thanks for any help!
Philip
