Default K-1 from Pakistan - Vaccination Question

A friend of mine has a Pakistani citizen fiance, who just received his K-1 visa in hand. When he went to his medical exam in Pakistan, they did not give him any vaccinations, even though he had no proof of having had them in his life (no medical record was available). The doctor in Pakistan said he didn't need them right now, he can get them done in the USA.

So I do believe this is true, that a K-1 does not NEED to have the vaccinations done prior to entering the USA. But from what I've seen on this forum, most people either have some sort of proof of having had them already, or they go ahead and have the missing ones done prior to entering the USA.

He is anxious to come here, so my friend and I were wondering if it's as easy as it sounds, to make an appointment with the USCIS civil surgeon here, after his arrival, JUST to get the vaccinations done and recorded in a sealed envelope to include with his AOS package? I'm sure all the doctors will, as usual, want to do a FULL medical, which we all know is not necessary.

They thought about getting the vaccinations done by a general physician in Pakistan, but at this point, they'd just rather he come ASAP to the USA and do everything here. Has anyone actually done this?

Thanks!
Rene

I think this is a perfectly acceptable course of action.

If he has the visa, it's highly unlikely that he'll be asked about vaccinations at the POE... so his chances of success are about 99%+.

He could always go to the health dept where he lives in the US after arrival and get lower cost vaccination and evidence of such. Most have a vax clinic.
