I am getting all of the papers together to submit a K-1 application for my
fiancé currently living in Brazil. Thank you to everyone in the news group
for all of the information! I am preparing the I-134 affidavit of support
and have a question. Is it looked unfavorable for someone other than the
fiancé (me) so submit an affidavit on behalf of the immigrant? Since I was
a student last year, my last tax return does not meet the income
requirements. My father has agreed to be a co-sponsor. Can I just submit
my father as the primary sponsor and "wash my hands of it"? Or does it look
better for me to submit a I-134 and include my father as a co-sponsor. I am
just trying to make everything as simple as possible to minimize waiting
time! Thanks!

Since you do not meet the limits. You will want to send one in and your father
can be your co-sponsor. Where in Brazil is your fiance? My fiance is in Recife
and I am in Texas filing with the TSC. Good luck.

Thanks for the info! She is from Goiania. Couple of other things: On the
forms G-325A (for the alien), there is a space on the form for "file number"
(begins with "A-"). I have no idea of a file number so I assume it is left
blank. Is that true? Also the Alien registration number near the bottom of
the same form. She does not have one. Once again, leave blank? (or write
"none")
Thanks.

The file number will almost always be "NONE". As for the "Alien
Registration Number", that also starts with A and it's A## ### ### format.
This you should leave blank until after you file and get a Notice of Action:
Receipt Notice. That will have the Alien Registration Number.
