Hi everyone, just wanted to share this with you guys......


Every day,
the minute I wake up, I miss you.

Every song on the radio
seems to be about love,
and I miss you.

Every time my phone rings
and I hear someone else's voice,

Every couple I see holding hands
or kissing makes me
miss you more.

And every night,
while I lie there
thinking of your touch,

has ever missed someone
the way I miss you.

Awwwww, that was so sweet! Thanks for sharing Lily.

I can sympathise, the four months I spent apart from my soulmate were a living nightmare. Everything was so much harder. The lows were all-time rock-bottom. It sucked!!!
The time difference made things worse, he'd come back from work, tired and stressed, I'd have already had a full day. IM-ing was an art form in itself; being able to convey your feelings, trying not to wind the other person up by saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. So many little mine fields to navigate no matter how much you love each other.
I'm so thankful that we've made it to where we are today, that I was stubborn enough not to call it quits just because I was tired of the whole long-distance thing.
Love and hope keep us going and I admire everyone who has gone or is going through this often lengthy process and keeps their dream alive.

Our 4 months are up, my interview is on Monday in London and my fiance is
now sat next to me putting her makeup on.
She goes back on Saturday, and if I get my visa on Monday I'm going to give
her a Xmas present she won't forget.

I'll try to be there for New Years, walk in with a bunch of roses and just
say 'Merry Xmas Honey' and enjoy the rest of our lives together.

Happy Holidays to all those couples who will be apart this Xmas, and just
think of all the Holidays you will be together from this moment on.

Waiting is so very, very hard sometimes, but it does come to an end eventually. Not much comfort, I know, but it does.

this poem says it all....to be apart for the upcoming holidays hurts more than I ever thought it would. The comfort is knowing that this is the last holiday apart ...and knowing that your love is looking at the same moon making the same wishes does give one comfort. Thank you for sharing this

That was one of the main things that kept us going when I was apart from my fiance

The interesting thing to me and something that I hadn't considered was when I said to my other half to look for the moon, he then described it to me. It was a half moon and he said "the top is at 11 o'clock and the bottom is at 5 o'clock". When I looked at it, the top was at 12 o'clock and the bottom at 6 o'clock (I think this was the right way round!), I found this fascinating!

The distance somehow doesn't seem quite so far away when you can both focus on the same object.
