I think I've done it though following the wiki link given.
I have filled out a 1040 for 2012, 2013 & 2014, but not sure if the 2014 can be filed yet? Maybe I need to do 2011 too?
I have also filled out a 2555 for each year. Those were the forms recommended in the wiki link. Should we do any others?

2014 tax return can be filed now, yes.

The 2014 return can be filed as soon as you're ready to file. In the US, it can be filed anytime up to and including April 15 unless you receive permission to extend the deadline. I'm not sure what the deadline is if the 1040 is filed outside the US.


You'd only need to do that if the 2014 return isn't being filed.

I hope these are my final questions. Where do we send the tax returns? It says on the irs website Austin. Tx.
How do we prove to the embassy that the taxes have been filed for the 3 years after sending if off?

I'm pretty sure that people filed their returns in London. Hopefully someone will be along to clarify.

Keep a photocopy of the entire tax return. That is what you'll show at the interview.
