Default Joint Bank Account

Hi,

For the university to issue an I-20, they need a bank statement as proof of funding.
My question is whether I can use a bank statement from a joint account with another
person. Will this be a problem? The money in the account is more than adaquate to pay
for tuition and living expense for at least one year. And my name is the first name
of the account.

Thanks.

It is up to the university to decide this, but it probably isn't a problem.
