the right one too might be a good idea to be on the safe side. From all accounts on other forums the 751s are going quite quick.

I'd drop the photos if I were you. What about savings and investments? Do you have joint accounts for those. I'd substitute those for the photos.

Plus, don't forget the filing fee.

Keep the photos in. We did and didn't include any financial investments and only our joint checking account. You have a child together, that, in and of itself, will be the "over the top" evidence you need.

The OP's child's birth certificate more than adequately shows the familial relationship is OK which means the photos are overkill. The OP should be highly selective about what he chooses to submit. Photos are very superficial. Financial statements showing joint ownership and transferal of rights at death are better evidence of a commited relationship. Just my 5 cents. Just don't forget to blank out any SSNs on documentation.

Yes, financial matters are important but you do not have to give them your portfolio. Been there and done that and have watched others get there and do that for over 9 years. At the advice of an on-line immigration attorney member a birth certificate, i.e. birth is the over top for showing a valid and co-habitating lifestyle. As for blanking out the ss#, why? They already have your ss# on file. Better to leave the SS# and blank out the account number.

OH BTW as for transfer at death, my husband does not get my IRA or my private life insurance and USCIS knows this from day one. It goes to my children. My hubby has been a US Citizen since 2003. Guess that was alright with them for the AOS, the Removal of Conditions an the Naturalization. Go figure

USPS Certified mail, return receipt requested. This is the way we've sent all our USCIS packages, never had a problem so far.
