Islamabad K3 Interview Success
My wife just called, she passed her K3 visa interview, she'll pick up her passport with the visa in the afternoon. The interview was very smooth (I'll be sure to post her experiences to the relevant sites), they only asked how long we have been married, where I live, and how long I have been in the US. The only documents they reviewed were my I-134 and financial docs, the marriage cert, her birth cert, medical reports, and a couple of wedding photos. They did not ask to see the emails/phone bills that she brought along, nor the police certificates (optional in Pakistan) or her Pakistani ID card.
5 months for the entire process (from I-130 filing to issuance of K3).
Good luck to all!

My wife now has the visa in hand. She also reported that 2 other girls who had interviews this morning also came this afternoon to pick up their visas. One was a K1 and the other was a V1.

Re: Islamabad K3 Interview Success
Applying for a Pakistani wife is much easier than applying for a Pakistani husband since the consulate has to wait for Washington to clear the DS-157 (a requirement for Pakistani males, not required for females). This process is taking way longer than the targetted 30 days.
Good luck to you.

I wish you best of luck Omer. I have just filed petition for my wife's
K-3 visa in august and can't wait till she gets the visa. Please pray
for all of us who are waiting impatiently here for their spouses.

Thanks. MSC approved my app on 8/13. Full timeline on the Marriage-Based visas page.

Search for country Pakistan, look for Omer and Maria (name search does not work).

No...it doesnt always go like this...
My husband got put on administrative processing for 45 days which always ends up to be 6 months...I love my husband as much as he loves his wife. There is no reason why we should have gotten admin review. THIS SUCKS

Sureyya, I understand your pain. My file was mailed by NVC on January 12th via DHL. I called the Embassy and the girl who picked up the phone after like 60 rings told me that they still have not received it. She says to call back after three weeks and check again. However, I called last Monday and the girl who picked up the phone said they indeed DID receive my file and that the packet will be mailed shortly.
So I am as frustrated as anyone else.
