Steffi,

June 30 is possibly, but not necessarily, the date when the NVC received Patrick's approved petition ("The State Department's National Visa Center has recently received ..."), and it is not the date when they sent it off ("within a week the petition will be forwarded..."

You don't know when they received it. How important is it to pin that down, really? You know when the petition was approved, you know the NVC has it now.

Regards, JEff
Well in all reality I could care less when the NVC received and sent off my information since I'm already "way" past that step, but like Rene already pointed out this timeline is to help others get an approximate idea about the process and I wanted to do my part for the community and add that in.

Hi All,

Welcome to the newest K1 K3 Timeline Site!

Jerry Liu (who posts here) and I have created a new K1 K3 timeline site. We tried to include every step of the journey, including the NOAs, NVC dates, and Packet 3/4 dates. It's in the very beginning stages, so have patience until we get any problems worked out. Please post your information to share with everyone. Let us know if you find any bugs, and how we can improve the site in any way.

Jerry and I have already posted our timelines. Please go ahead and make yourselves at home there! :-)

Best Wishes!
Rene and Jerry
I have added mine also

The site is great except for the duplicate entries. Any chance that you could add a column for "Days Passed" that will automatically update.

I have added my entry as well.

Thanks.

Well, I just added my info. I have the distinction of being the only one with an RFE!!! Leslie, there's something awfully wrong about your entry. Take a look at it.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the timeline entries and helping to debug the scripts. :-)
When I first saw the database listing, I couldn't for the life of me figure
out how all the duplicates got in there. Still couldn't get a duplicate in
there until I read Karen's description below...

Sorry about the annoyance. I'll fix the script and should have it patched in
the next day or two. In the meantime I've gone through and removed the
duplicates manually from the database.

Thanks for the problem description, Karen. Otherwise I might still be in
there trying to figure out what's going on... :-)

Jerry

AFTER the visa? Gosh... I feel like I've been asked what I plan to do
AFTER I get into heaven. :-) I've been waiting so long for the process to
just move an inch, I'm just praying for the visa. Never mind what comes
after!

Seriously, neither Rene and I thought about it when we were setting this up.
I know there are AOS procedures and such after Penny comes here, but to be
honest I haven't a clue what they are... It does seem like a good idea to
include this though, seeing as how there are quite a number of AOS and EAD
(what's that?) questions going by... Do you know what would be good
milestones to add as columns in the post-visa timeline?

Yeah, it does seem a little silly now, being past that mile marker and
all... :-) But at the time, before we got there, both Rene and I were
looking for any scrap of info about NVC processing, even the silly ones...

In fact, we got the idea to do this while both of our petitions were going
through the NVC. We're both petitioning for folks from countries that the
NVC likes to spend a little extra time checking, and so we wanted to have
timelines that would show how much time a petition spent at the NVC for the
different countries. Thus the milestones for both the IN and the OUT...

OMG!!! LMAO!! That is nothing like what I posted originally. I even checked it after I did it and it was OK.

Rene or Jerry,

Do you know what could have happened? I'll let you look at it before I fix it.

Thanks for the heads up Heba.

I've configured the database to reject duplicate entries. If you repeat the
process below, the screen won't look pretty, but you shouldn't be able to
add a duplicate entry again. *crosses fingers*

I think I should be able to hack that in, but it's more than a quick change
of a few lines. I'll add it to the feature to-do list. Look for it in a
few weeks...

Hi Desi,

Jerry is working on eliminating the duplicate entries. The "days passed" column has been thought of as well, and we'll try incorporating that too. Thanks for adding your info, and for the suggestions. :-)
