Int'l student getting marry out of status, is that possible?
I've been in the United States for almost 2 years now on a student visa. The last day of the fall quarter is on December 5 and I'm gonna be completing my Associate Degree in Arts. I have knowlegde that after completing your studies you have just 60 days to stay in the United States. Well, I'm planning to get marry on March 7th next year with an american citizen, but I will be out of status by that time. Is there anything I can do to avoid that? Is it possible to change my F-1 Visa for a K-1? Being out of status for one month will interfere when I do my paperwork to get my residency?
I don't know what to do. I call to the USCIS and I didn't get any choices, they don't know anything!!what can I do?

The USC would apply for the K1, and you would have to be at your home country to get that, the other route, get married and then do the K3 route, or AOS...being out of status is normally forgiven when AOS'ing based on marriage to a USC.
Can't you apply for intern/training visa? Or what's the OPT somin'?

I assume the March 7 date is the big ceremony and reception? If you don't want to go out of status at all, consider getting married in a civil ceremony first and file your AOS packet before your student status expires.
