I wouldn't say "continually" The first time wasn't my doing. The second was through marriage and then I just reverted back to my maiden name. The change of first name is a personal issue and is still relatively recent. I have all current documentation in that name *other* than my passport, simply because they would cancel my current passport while I wait for the new one, which would have left me unable to visit my fiance. I spoke to my local check and send and they said that it can take up to 6-8 weeks to get a new passport at this time of year, and that there's been quite a few delays lately which is why I'm hesitant to do it.

If I don't have to change it, then I won't, simply because I'll then be applying for two new passports within a year or so - one now with the new name and then one in my married name and it just seems really silly to have to apply for a new one twice within such a short amount of time.

Your passport is only needed for placing the K-1 in so continue with what you have. The best of luck to you and your child in your endeavors.

That's the best news I've had all day, thank you! :3

Oh, and I'd still book the ticket in the name on the passport, not the K1, yes? and just take name change documentation through immigration with me

They wouldn't allow you on the plane if you didn't. The ticket name must match the name in the passport.
