Intent to domicile

Hey guys..

So will the following be sufficient to show my husbands intent to domicile?

Email to our landlady giving notice of our intent to terminate our tenancy

One way flight tickets booked to JFK the day after tenancy ends

Our AirBnb booking for a month whilst we look for properties

Some property listings we are interested in

Not sure what more we can give as hes unemployed so no handing of notice?

Re: Intent to domicile

The interviewers in London seem very relaxed about intent to domicile. If you tell them that is your intention that is almost good enough. With what you have I don't see a problem, it is more than I gave them.

Thanks for this,

What did you list for him under address for Affidavit and did you list USA as domicile or UK?

Appreciate it

She answered truthfully. He lives in the UK, not he US. So she listed his UK address. And his domicile is the UK?

Why in heaven's name would you think otherwise?

Yes, that's plenty.

Someone reported a couple of months ago having been approved for an IR-1 in London despite having no intention of him and his wife (USC) domiciling in the US in the foreseeable future (a number of years).

Sorry I hadn't realised my question to viitav was that outrageous.
Based on the requirement to be US Domicile then seemed reasonable to confirm that it was ok to list our UK address rather than US address etc.
Sometimes questions may seem silly but when you have filled out so many forms its good to just get some advise and confirm details rather than make a mistake and cause delays down the road. Thank you for confirming though

Re: Intent to domicile

Not outrageous but you are overthinking the forms. They ask for current information not for information based on future situations. We have all filled out those many forms, so you are not alone.

You might be better served starting your own thread so that your questions and answers will be easier for you to find.
