BlankMy fianc=E9e is American, resident in Alaska. I am resident in = Ireland. We are
in the process of getting the act together so that she = can submit the Petition.
(She is awaiting one document from some = authority or another in Texas. Everything
else is ready.) We are = petitioning on the basis of a K1 visa. We are both "mature"
and have = adult families.
My youngest daughter (21 years in December) is undertaking a university = degree
course in England. As of October 2002 she will commence the = third year of that
course. We (my fianc=E9e and I) wish to marry as = soon as possible after grant of
the K1 visa. In making arrangements for = the ceremony, we would like to arrange it
so that my youngest daughter = can attend and do so with the minimum disruption to
her study timetable.
The question is: assuming my daughter's study timetable would "allow" = her absence
for a week, would the immigration authorities accept this = "window" as a good reason
to expedite processing of the Petition?
Thanks in advance for any constructive comments.
