Might have to reschedule this as I need to travel to Italy on 15 March and although I shouldn't need a passport to travel between Schengen countries, I'm not sure in practice if I will be allowed to board an international flight with no passport and no national ID card.

Default Re: I-130 Filing in USA - Timeline Only!

Final Timeline:

16 Aug 2012: Mailed I-130 packet.
23 Aug 2012: I-130 packet accepted.
20 Nov 2012: I-130 petition approved.
20 Dec 2012: Received NVC case number, DS-3032 and Affidavit of Support fee invoice.
26 Dec 2012: E-mailed Choice of Address to NVC and paid Affidavit of Support fee.
7 Jan 2013: Mailed I-864EZ packet. IV processing fee invoiced and paid.
11 Jan 2013: Mailed DS-230 packet.
30 Jan 2013: Received interview date.
20 Feb 2013: Medical in Berlin.
12 March 2013: Interview in Frankfurt. Visa (CR-1) approved.

6 months and 24 days from mailing the I-130 to being approved. Probably could have shaved a little bit more off that by sending the documents to the NVC sooner. I was told at the interview that my passport should be posted back to me this afternoon or tomorrow.

4 Apr 2013: Case number assigned at NVC. NO! It says DBL, not LND! American-educated processing clerk thought Northern Ireland was the same as Ireland. Called back, got someone to ask a supervisor, supervisor noticed the error and is getting it fixed.

Last edited by Noorah101; Apr 4th 2013 at 10:39 pm. Reason: Corrected LON to LND case number
