Default Immigrant Visa (I-130 Filed in USA) - Timeline Only!

This thread is a continuation of the outdated thread here: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...699857&page=55

This thread is for sharing your timeline only. If you have specific questions about the process, forms, medical, interview, etc. please create a new thread with your own specific question as it pertains to your case. These kinds of questions get lost in timeline threads, and takes it way off topic.

Thank you,

Is there a thread for general chat and questions for I-130 filed in London rather than just a timeline?

Autieginzey, if you look over in the US Immigration forum here: http://britishexpats.com/forum/forum...sprune=-1&f=34, you will see that I've moved your questions to that forum.

Your case is NOT marriage-based. You are immigrating based on an I-130 filed by your USC daughter. Here are a couple of links to your posts which I moved to the correct forum, please continue posting questions over there.

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=764419

There is not really just one general chat thread about I-130's filed in London, no. There is a "DCF I-130 Filing in London" thread for Timelines Only (but that's for marriage-based visas only).

It is recommended for posters to ask their individual questions in separate threads, to get personalized answers, in the correct forum.

Thanks,
Rene

4 Aug 2012: Wedding
16 Aug 2012: I-130 packet posted to Phoenix
23 Aug 2012: E-Mail notice of packet acceptance and routing to CA Service Center/Filing fee cashed
28 Aug 2012: Case forwarded to CA Service Center
At Present: Under Initial Review

As my husband is deployed and I live in Germany I don't know the receipt date of any hard copy notifications. I can only report e-mail notifications and changes on the USCIS website. When the time comes for the visa application I will be going through Frankfurt rather than London.

Hello, everyone. I am a USC from Texas and my husband is a UKC from Northern Ireland. Here is the timeline so far:

21 Sep 2012: Married in Aberdeen (I was on a business trip!)
13 Oct 2012: Returned home to the US without my love
16 Oct 2012: Posted I-130 Packet overnight mail to Phoenix office; G-1145 included
18 Oct 2012: Packet received by USCIS; priority date assigned of 18 Oct 2012
22 Oct 2012: "Notice date" of I-797C, Notice of Action
23 Oct 2012: E-mail USCIS Acceptance Confirmation e-mail received ("Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.")
23 Oct 2012: Payment posted to my checking account for I-130 fees
24 Oct 2012: Received hard copy I-797C, Notice of Action, in the mail. Our MSC receipt number did not show up in the system.
26 Oct 2012: Called USCIS to ask about MSC number not showing up and they checked and said everything was received and our forms were definitely in the system.

I'm just waiting at this point to hear about further processing. The MSC number is still not showing up in case status as of a few minutes ago.

Maybe not wholly relevant to my timeline in the previous post, but added for thoroughness:

7 Nov 2012: Husband arrived in the US on a VWP visit while paperwork processed. We are very happy to be able to be together for a while.
23 Nov 2012: MSC number still not showing up in case status (I was just curious!).

5 months from 18/06/2012 NOA1 date at Vermont has now passed, however have seen from other filings on other sites that 6 months is around the norm. Apparently they are snowed under.

Just hoping to hear something before Christmas

13 Dec 2012: The case status finally showed up in the system as "Initial Review" today, with the correct receipt date of October 18. I think they are catching up with these forms.

Still no sight of NOA2, now approaching 6 months. According to other sites VSC have begun processing the last week of May, so probably looking at after christmas at this point. Roll on 2013!
