I'm on the edge of 485 approval.Trying to add my wife as follow-to-join
Currently I am on H1 visa and I just got married after I filed for I
485. My I-485 is getting processed at the Vermont center and the priority date is
around mid of Feb. Now my wife came to US on H4 visa. Now, I am trying to file
her 485 as follow-to-join. What happens if my 485 is approved before the
application reaches Vermont service Center. Can I still go ahead to continue her
485. Will her H4 be valid after my 485's approval. What are the options I have.
I think there will not a problem if my 485 is not approved before I file my
wife's. But because of bad luck, if it gets approved, what I can do? Your

Yes.

There will be a small gap of violation of status. Your wife will still qualify for
adjustment through INA section
245(k). You might consider consulting a good attorney if you get caught in that
situation.
By the way, what are you waiting for? Get the package completed and FedEx it
tomorrow!!!

I have the same situation like you. My wife is on F1 visa. My firm did my applications. I did research but I still can find out what forms she need to file and what kind information of her need to collect. Could you do us a favor what we need to do, or recommend some source?
