I751 VSC Finally arrived
Well it's finally arrived! it's here, it's approved YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!! Got a call from Melissa (the wife) as soon as she got home tonight telling me that there was some mail from USCIS waiting for me and wanting to know if she could either open it or hide it and make me search for it (she from Michigam so what can I say lol)
Well I get home, open the letter like a frenzied animal and it's official... I'M APPROVED!!! 751 has arrived!!! Just need to make an infopass appointment with the philly office, take 3 passport size pic's with me and the card will be in the mail sometime within the next 6 months!
Well 3 beers later.. no sorry now make that 4 (slow at typing or fast drinker you choose and to be honest, at this point I don't care! but I am so damn happy right now.
Anyway... gotta run, party at my place fo anyone that know's how to get here. DE ain't that big a place, just wind down the window and you'll be able to hear the music as soon as you cross the state line..... no matter which state line it may be, you'll hear it lol
ohh... bring more beer, I'm running low already lol

p.s. timeline to follow after I sober up and get back from work tomorrow night, although I did get a kick from calling my boss tonight and telling him that I would be in tomorrow, but with one hell of a hangover!

Filed all paperwork 11/2003
Rejected cause of incorrect amount on cheque's (even though I got the amounts from the forms) 11/2003
Re-filed 12/2003
01/03/2004 Rejected again as we had filed to the wrong place (had moved from DE to MD) Severly pissed at this point, try to print out all the forms again, printer out of ink, walk 3 miles to friends house (only had 1 car at the time and wife had it cause she was working) and broke ankle about a third of the way there. Was so pissed and determined that the forms were getting filled out then (and I didn't know it was broken, just thought it was BADLY sprained) walked the remainng 2 miles on what turned out to be a broken ankle, printed out the forms and filled them out (wirth ankle on ice and swollen like a baloon)

01/08/2004 application received. NOA received several days later
02/2004 Letter received for 485 interview scheduled for 04/14/2004 (was in shock with it being so quick)
02/2004 letter received for fingerprinting for 03/2004
03/2004 receive letter re I765, appointment 04/04/2004
04/04/2004 765 approved
04/14/2004 485 and 130 approved... conditional resident... YIPPEE
05/03/2004 start job here in US
03/19/2006 751 filed with VSC
03/29/2006 receive NOA for 751 dated 03/23/2006. Sent in over 600 pages of supporting document... but what would I know, I didn't kmow about this place at the time!!
03/29/2006 - 08/23/2006 worried myself silly for no reason (given all that I had read here and the fact I seem to have sent a truck load of stuff to them in comparison to some I have seen since and was worried about overloading them)
08/23/2006 751 approved.. party time!!
08/24/2006 Sober again... roll on January next year for the citizenship application!

p.s. broken ankles are optional to the application processs I am told lol (by the imigration officer at the 485 interview)
