Thanks for the info. It's important to check out attorney's history before we hire them. What are the sites to do that?

I'm not aware of any particular website that gives you history on attorneys. You probably just have to google each name you want information on, and see what you can find out.

If you know what state bar they practice under, you can ask the bar if they've ever been disciplined.

Google gets stuff too obviously.

He's in Los Angeles. Send him a message on here and ask for his details.

I called him and left a message and also sent private email to him, but not responses from him at all..... It seems like he is not practicing anymore.

Not practicing anymore? Someone told you that, or are you assuming that becuase he hasn't answered you yet.

He just posted here yesterday, he's been on vacation.

well, if you can reach him, please let him know that I'm looking for him. I sent him the email and if he is back from vocation, he should see my email. So far I haven't heard back from him.

Yes, Mr. F has returned from vacation (he has posted once since the first week of February) but that does not mean he is taking clients from the forum.

Suggest you look for another attorney through the link Ray provided you.

Perhaps he's busy answering a zillion messages from when he was away, and just hasn't gotten to the OP yet.

I know that was his policy once, but he changed that a while back and was definitely seeing people through the forum. I know of someone who saw him.

Has he changed this policy?

Who knows. He hasn't been around and other than asking us once what we all thought, I don't ask personal questions. I know of only one person who retained him from this forum as their attorney.

The person I know who saw him went after he changed his policy and as a result of contacting him through here. So, unless he's changed policy the OP should be able to retain him. If he has changed policy I don't think it would be considered 'asking a personal question' in order to find out.
