Default I want to share a somewhat humorous story :)

My fiance in Romania was at the train station and she heard a woman there asking if
anyone spoke English. So my fiance (who speaks excellent English) went to her to help
her. It turns out she is on some missionary trip to help kids in Romania. Anway,
after speaking with her for a long time, and telling her our story, the woman said
something like "Well, the embassy will HAVE to believe you are in love if you
actually tell them you're moving to Wisconsin! Why would anyone make that up?" LOL! I
thought that was cute

cheeseheads )

Ooooh, I've got to remember that line for my interview. But Sir could you give me one
reason why anyone would want to move to Wisconsin except that they are totally and
utterly blinded by love? Yes, I think that will work =).

You guys are making me miss my favorite cheesehead and that beautiful state.

Jeannine, hoping to be back by football season to see the Packers kick some
Vikings butt =)

to a Packer game up in Green Bay last year. Mwhahahahahaha!

As for why anyone would want to move to Wisconsin? Duh, for the weather.

Of course - where else in the world can you have 50 degree weather all winter,
and then measurable snow at least once a week since the beginning of spring. I
suspect we will have a blizzard that will cancel all 4th of July activities! :0
Take Care. Shelley
PS Ken hates the weather in Wisconsin - he misses the below 0 temps of a
Winnipeg winter.

work privilege then when you move, you can say you are 'from' WI

I had a similar encounter, I talked to one woman from former Soviet Union and she
asked me how I got here to the US. I said I married an American girl. The very next
thing she said was, "Oh yeah, I understand lots of people are doing it that way, you
just have to be careful". I said: "Hey, wait a minute, I love my wife, why you
immediately assume I only married her to get here?" Man, it was LOL, but it makes you
think a bit too. )))

So Jeffrey, you're telling me that this woman is in Romania trying to help Romanias and she doesn't understand the language? I hope she has a lot of interpreters with her!

As for cold weather places, we're going to Montreal in a week and I hear they're still getting snow up there. Is it really May? I thought for sure that by May 11 there'd be nice, warm spring weather in Montreal. Maybe it'll reach the 60s if we're lucky?

I wouldn't have guessed there were so many Wisconsinites in the ng either! I'll have
to tell my fiancee the line to use during her interview!
