I got my k1!!!!...but i have a question...
...I got the pouch delivered by courier today, and i have a question.
The websites say you can't open it because it will be invalidated, but my passport is in there, so what do i do?
Answers from people who have actually done this recently would be appreciated, as this is last minute and essential
Thanks

Call the embasy and get a definite confirmation you can open it. Explain what you've heard, and explain that your passports in there and you need it for your flight out.

The famous "brown envelope" should be given to you at the consulate with
instructions not to open it. Ours was stamped and signed in three
places. I'm not sure, but I think it also said "do not open".
I have to scratch my head over a "plastic" envelope and the visa coming
to you in the mail.

You can open the envelope you recieved by courier. Your passport will be loose in there and the brown envelope will also be there that you can not open, but hand in on you POE.

Let me get this straight. You're afraid to open the package that was
delivered to you by the courier?
I think you may be confusing that with the "Mysterious Brown Envelope" that
comes with the K-1 visa. Your Brown Envelope, passport with visa, and
probably X-ray are all inside the courier package. Go ahead and open it.
But don't open the envelope inside that says "to be opened by immigration
only", or something like that.
