I didn't expect AOS to be as quick.
I filed for AOS based on a K1 on 01/25/08
My case was transferred to CSC on 02/18/08
My AP was approved on 03/11/08 (48 days) and my EAD was approved on 03/18/08 (55 days).
Now my I-485 is at CSC, I may not require an interview, but the Greencard is not needed in a hurry as I have the AP and EAD on their way now.
This was not the long wait I had expected, not that I am complaining mind.

I just didn't expect the EAD to be here in the time it was with the big flux of applications last year. Also, you're right on the actual AOS, it still may take a while.
