Hello everyone,
Got a question for ya'll. My fiance has received her K1 visa, and is going to be
coming over to US, in december. After reading the newsgroup, seems like JFK(NY) has
been issuing temporary EAD stamp, which is valid for 90 day work period. Now here are
my questions.
1. What is this I-94 form? Is this the same white form that a US citizen fills out,
when they are returning to US? If so, doesn't the customs office collect this
form, before departing the airport?
2. Is I-94 stamped with work-authorization stamp? or is the passport?
3. I read somewhere, that I still have to apply for the 1 year EAD card. Does that
mean that we have to file with the $120 fee??
Thanks, Dan

The I-94 is a form about 6 inch wide x 12 inchs long made from card stock..... The
INS will keep a portion and your fiance will keep the important part....on the back
will have the EAD stamp, if they issue one.

You do not "Have" to apply for the card.......only if you will be working.....in
which case, yes...you will have to file with the appropriate fee. (but you can
not file for this card until you file for the adjustment of status, following
your wedding.)
