Default I-94 question

Hi,
The last time I came in to the States, my status was F-1, so I am
still holding the I-94 base on F-1, now I have changed my status from
F-1 to H-1, in addition I have also add my stamp on my passport in
Canada, since I drove to Toronto, by the time I got back, I didn't
received any stamp or fill out i-94 form for H-1.
Now, In next couple days, I will travel oversea for a short vacation,
my question in here is,
which I-94 should I give up when I leaving from the States, I have two
currently, one is I-94 based on F-1, the other one is I-94 come with
the I-797 H-1 petition.
If I give up I-94 on F-1, what are the steps when I come back, should
I detach my I-94 on I-797?
thanks for you help.
Wei

You should use the one that came with the H-1. When you re-enter, you will
fill out a new I-94.

Just read the instructions on the I-797 about the attached I-94
and follow them.

When you leave the U.S. you will give up both I-94s, stapled together: the
F-1 I-94 from your original entry, and the H-1B I-94 which is the square at
the bottom of the I-797, which you will have carefully detached.

When you return you will present your original I-797 H-1B approval notice
(what is left of it after the detachment of the I-94), and you will receive
a new I-94.
