I-864 sponsor joint tax return
Instead of using my dad as a sponsor (his income comes from UK and USA and proofs were getting complicated) a close family friend has offered to be sponsor. She has an income of around $75,000 a year which more than clears the I864P requirements. I have 0 income.
Our sponsor files her tax returns jointly with her husband who is retired and the gross income on the returns is around $200,000 (from investments i believe).
We are not using the husbands income or assets or anything at all as she has provided her paystubs and social security statements which clearly show her $75k plus income. The only thing that has her husbands name on it is the tax return.
1) Am I correct in assuming that as we aren't using his income at all he does NOT need ti fill in an I-864A?
2) Are there any ramifications from the three years of tax returns being joint returns rather than just in her name?

Thanks so much Rene! You always amaze me with the speed of your replies. Sorry that I confuse the terminology, obviously I am the sponsor and she is the joint sponsor. Thanks once again!
