If both incomes will continue from the same source once you're in the US, you can use it. That's probably not an issue with your husband's trust income, but where does your income come from?

My question is should we include assets or will the income suffice? The assets total around $252,000 mark as of today.
If it's not an issue to add in the assets, do it. You want to make it as easy as possible for the Consular Officer to approve the visa... so why limit your options with an either/or scenario?

Thanks so much Ian and in answer to your question about where my income comes from....it comes from the United States Office of Personnel Management in the good ol US of A and I will get it until the day I take my last breath......
