hi, i have an affidavit of support question. which form is a joint sponsor for
affidavit of support supposed to fill? i-864 or i-864a? is there any difference
between the two? There is a combined i-864 and i-864a form on
http://travel.state.gov/intermediate_page.html can we use printout of that form or do
we need wait till nvc sends us the original form? can the sponsor and joint sponsor
just fill out this combined form or do both of us need to fill out separate forms?
Thanks for any info. Ashish.

Note: I don't strictly know what I'm doing here, I just have a general idea. Each sponsor fills out a seperate form. The primary sponsor (spouse) fills out I-864, the joint sponsor fills out a seperate I-864A. As far as I understand it, printouts of the form from the internet are fine. Good luck!

Close but no cigar, Harry. ;o)

The I-864 A is only used when someone who has been in the household for at least 6
months wishes to count their income toward the household income.

When using a joint sponsor, they fill out the I-864 just like the sponsor does.
