I just had a quick question in regards to the I-864 Affidavit of Support. My husband has his visa interview this week and my mother (USC) is our joint-sponsor and has sent us all of her information. I just had this thought that they may require a copy of her Passport or Birth Certificate to go along with the form to prove that she is in fact a US Citizen. Does anyone know if this is required??

Yes, it is required. She has to prove she is either a USC or a US Permanent Resident. If she is a USC, a copy of her US Passport or birth certificate will do.
