Hi...I just got married with my Filipina wife last Nov.7.Were going to file
my Wifes AOS. But the problem was the
INS never sent us an NOA or Approval Notice. Is it really required for the
AOS filing?Hope you can help me to
me this.

Hi Daune,
very good question. We haven't received a I-797 (Notice of Approval) either.
I want to file for AOS in person next week (without a I-797) in Texas. I
will let you know about their reaction.
Somewhere i remember to have read something like "if you haven't got the
I-797 for some reasons, ask while filing in person for a copy - sometimes
they do, sometimes they charge about 110$ for a copy."

Anyway, i would be interested in more opinions and experiences.
