Default I-765 (Application for Employment) timeframe?

Hi!

I'm in the process of crossing the big pond on my K3 visa. I have to apply
for employment as soon as I'm over there. Does anyone have any experience
about the time it takes until it's granted? I have to tell my potential
employers something about this!

Thanks for your help!

You have to wait at least 90 days from the date immigration receive it, if you don't get it after 91 days then go to your local office an get an interim EAD which lasts 8 months.

Eton!

Thanks for the information... that's what I thought :-( Pity, I intend to
reside in Pensacola and the nearest "local" office probably is Jacksonville
(approx. 350 miles). Sounds like fun, LOL

Best wishes
Bernd
